I love these images from Headspace reminding us to simply breathe! Headspace’s mission is to provide every person access to lifelong mental health support through evidence based meditation, mindfulness tools, mental health coaching, therapy and psychiatry. Through their own app they provide mindfulness tools for everyday life. I follow them on Instagram and love their vibrant and impactful visuals.
Breathwork has come up a lot this week for me personally and also in client coaching sessions. These two visuals are a powerful reminder to focus on how we can simply inhale and exhale. I've just brought a new Garmin watch this week for my running and also to focus more on my fitness as a whole. It has a simple meditation exercise on it which I've done this week for just a minute at a time. The reduction is my heart rate has been amazing! I've also learnt box breathing in Pilates and attending the sound bath session a few weeks ago really helped me to focus more on the power of breathwork and putting 'me' first a little bit more.
My simple challenge to you today is just to take some deep breaths in and out to start your day and during the day and see what happens! Use these two visuals to help you particularly if you are are feeling tense, frustrated or conflicted about something - I’d love to hear what you notice.
