Go The Extra Mile

Happy Friday!

I love this quote.....

A focus on the Leadership work I do with clients centres on ‘Discretionary Effort’ – the difference between ‘having to’ and ‘wanting to’.  When individuals have purpose, are engaged and enjoy what they do they are far more likely to go above and beyond and exceed expectations.

My Grandparents taught me the importance of this from a young age and it stuck with me – I saw them continually do this in their work and in their life.

I’ve experienced a great example this week of someone going the extra mile for me and my business. I needed a super speedy turn around for some design and branding work. Lisa Steward @ Zero Five delivered this in record time for me (24 hours in fact!) and went above and beyond to fit this into her schedule. As a client of hers, this made me feel highly valued and important.

⭐️ Think about those people who go above and beyond for you in your work and in

your life and the impact this has for you.

⭐️ Reflect on how you also do this for others.

Going the extra mile can be as simple as making a small gesture, stepping in to help or lightening someone’s load proactively where you are able to. It has a huge impact for others and also means they will remember you and appreciate you.

Have a great weekend ahead.
