Leadership and Management Development Podcast

Updated: 3 days ago

Happy Friday!

I’m delighted to share a link to a podcast between myself and the Chairman of Chesterton House Financial Planning LtdAndy Jervis. Andy invited me to create this podcast together last week, I enjoyed our discussion immensely.

I’ve worked with the business for over 4 years now. They are role-models of continually developing and investing in their learning and development to the point where they have developed an in-house CPD programme, led by Julie Moretta as a result of the programme, I designed with Dawn Hubbard and delivered over a 4 year period to circa 30 of their Directors, Leaders and Managers.

You can either listen to the podcast or watch the video by clicking on the link: https://lnkd.in/eNXrKGWj

It’s around 20 minutes long and we focus on the following themes and topics:

⭐️ The importance of continual leadership and management development and

why we all need to invest in this.

⭐️ The benefits of equipping leaders and mangers with ‘human skills’ to develop,

motivate and inspire others.

⭐️ Investing in team development to in turn truly benefit clients and customers.

⭐️ The importance of strong diagnosis before delivering coaching, training and

leadership development interventions to ensure that development hits the

mark and makes a real difference for all.

⭐️ Ensuring key decision makers, senior roles in the business and board members

invest in and are part of leadership development so everyone is on the 'same

bus' - strong contracting is crucial to this.

⭐️ The importance of core values aligning when working with any external

consultant or coach.

⭐️ The success which is derived when programmes are delivered where

delegates have a high level of accountability and responsibility to pass skills

and knowledge on to others and inspire the next generation of leaders and

managers.

⭐️ How coaching truly embeds and develops the learning and application of skills

earnt.

If you want to find out more about the work I do in the areas of leadership and management development,  please do get in touch.

Thank you once again Andy for inviting me to create this with you. A huge thank you to the whole of Chesterton House and particularly to Dawn Hubbard who are all such a joy to work with.

Have a great weekend ahead.
