Happy Friday (and it's also my birthday today too)!
This week we did a road trip to Scotland to spend time with our dear friends. We've had the most wonderful time in beautiful Fife and Edinburgh. Here is a picture of me on a training run near Aberdour.
Phil and I first met when I started working for Standard Life in 2005, we got engaged on George Street and spent so much time working in Edinburgh over the next few years together. It was so lovely to show the children where we got engaged, the old Standard Life office on Lothian Road and the hotels we used to stay in.
When I worked at AXA, I'd regularly visit Scotland to see team members and again when I worked at AEGON at Lochside Crescent for team meetings, platform launches and events. I have thought so much this week about all the brilliant days and nights out spent in Scotland over the years. It carries a really special place in my heart and always will.
It made me think about all the wonderful people I have worked with over the years that helped me to really enjoy my work and also have a lot of fun, as well as the memories Phil and I have together there.
I cannot name you all here as there are too many but thank you to the following for the Scottish memories over the years! Trish Divine Oliver Couchman Philip Hurdman Lou Macari Chris Hubbard Gary Thomson Clive Ford Kevin Veale Simon Olive BSc(Hons) Morag Spence Lachlan McLachlan Dip PFS Clare Elswood Lee Surgenor David Whittenbury David Tod Duncan Bown Andy Burns Justin Towlson Martin Coyle Theresa Dixon Simon Warr Susan Lennox Lauren Paine Amanda Nicholas Sadie Rose Bruce Walker Matt Pheasey
They really were great days!
Thank you also for the continued support for my Samaritans mission - it is so appreciated. I received an email from Just Giving last week informing me that I am in the top 10% of sponsorship for the London Marathon so far which is just brilliant. I am on a mission today to reach the £1500 mark, this will leave us with £1000 to raise to reach the target. https://lnkd.in/eunDej4M
Have a great weekend ahead.
